Receive Fake Calls with Fake Calls

Now, we’re going to have to be a little bit careful here. When we say ‘fake calls’ we are talking about an iPhone application called Fake Calls by Magic Tap. We’re most definitely not talking about ringing geriatric comedy treasures to tell them we’ve had their granddaughter. There isn’t an iPhone app to do that yet. And even if there were, we’re pretty sure it wouldn’t be allowed in to the App Store.
Fake Calls — the iPhone app, not the cretins’ pastime — is simple but brilliant. Choose a name or number and a delay, set it running, and after a while your iPhone starts ringing as if you’ve got an incoming call. Whether you want to look important or get out of a tedious situation, Fake Calls has got you covered. It costs 59p (or ¢99) — 10% of which goes to charity — and best of all, it also works on the iPod Touch, so all you cheapos can pretend like you’ve got the big boy’s toy.
Now, who want’s to hear about me and Michael Crawford’s niece?
